Can anything dangerous happen to me in the wind tunnel? You can fly safely in Skyward!
Our instructors spend years learning even the most basic movements in the wind. They are all experienced and well trained professionals for whom flying is the greatest pleasure and the safety of our guests is the most important part of their job!
As long as you are in the wind, your instructor is with you the whole time and until he feels that you have assumed a safe and stable position, he will not let you go. All this happens at about 1.5 metres, when you fly higher your instructor will hold you steady all the way, without interruption.
Wind tunnelling is safe for practically everyone, but there are a few exceptions where we don't recommend you try it! If you are expecting a baby, even if you are very early in your pregnancy, it is not recommended! The wind from below, which you "get caught up" in while flying, can cause anaemia.
In case of shoulder problems, if you have ever had a dislocated shoulder, unfortunately it can happen again with us, so we do not recommend wind tunnelling in this case either!
In all other cases you can fly almost without exception! In recent years, even our visually impaired guests with limited mobility have happily experienced the freedom to float. It's a great moment not only for them, but also for us, to give people who live with limitations in their everyday lives the experience of a lifetime.
So we suggest you stop focusing on what you're afraid of and start looking forward with excitement and joy to one of the best experiences of your life!
When booking you will see that there is a weight limit in the canal. Above 100 kilograms there is an extra charge for flying (5.000,- HUF/pers), simply because at this weight two instructors have to be in the Tunnel with the adventure float, which makes it difficult to schedule groups for the day. However, we welcome you up to 120 kilograms, above which we are unfortunately no longer able to fly.
